SIA Services Development Day
Yesterday, we were delighted to host the Spinal Injuries Association Services Development Day. Thank you to Circle Rehabilitation Birmingham for generously providing the use of their excellent facilities and helping to make the day such a success. It was a pleasure to meet with the SIA team and discuss the range of specialist services that PCS provides, as well as exploring opportunities to continue supporting individuals following life-changing injury. We rounded off the day with a lovely dinner. Thank you to everyone who attended—we look forward to continuing to work together.
SIA Polo Day
What a fantastic afternoon at the SIA Polo Day in support of the Spinal Injuries Association. As a proud partner of the SIA, we were delighted to host a table and welcome so many wonderful guests who share our commitment to supporting people living with spinal cord injuries. A highlight was hearing the inspiring talk from Saffron who shared her lived experience. It was a pleasure to spend the day with Lois Norris, Gerard McDermott KC, Simon Pinnell, Victoria McDermott, Nik Hartley OBE, Saffron Cresswell, and our guests Amrit Dehal, Lena Walliman RGN, Robena Dhadda, Tom Claxton, Marc Holl, Julie Anne Fulford ARRC, Dr Joanna Fletcher-Smith, Jin Garcha, Jackie Chappel, Laura Platts. Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to connect, collaborate and raise vital awareness for such an important cause.
CMSUK Corporate Networking Lunch
Yesterday, we attended the CMSUK Corporate Networking Lunch, hosted by Circle Health Group in Birmingham. It was a great opportunity to network and reconnect with colleagues while meeting new faces. We enjoyed an inspiring talk from Phillip Eaglesham PLY, who shared his journey following Q Fever and how the innovative wheelchairs developed through Conquering Horizons Ltd have helped transform so many lives. Jin Garcha hosted the event in her CMSUK role, while Julie-Ann Fulford and Jennie Rumble spoke about the case management work they do for Help for Heroes.
